School Tours & Studio ExperiencesTours need to be booked at least one week in advance.
Tour & ‘Studio’ Experiences: $1.00 per student when artists are onsite and at work on an art production. Otherwise, the visit is free. During Your Visit: Please adequately supervise your students. Chaperones are responsible for monitoring and accompanying students at all times during the visit. Works of art are fragile. A helpful guideline is to ask students to remain at least twelve inches away from any work of art and remind them to please look with eyes not hands. If you wish to draw or take notes please use the table in the center of the Gallery rather than lean drawing or note-taking materials on walls, display cases, or pedestals. Remember to be considerate of others in the Gallery and the Tourist Centre. Please… no running, shouting or horse play. Suggested Strategies

Suggested Strategies for Exploring Art:Try the thirty-second looking activity!
Make it a game! Have students look silently at a work of art for thirty seconds then ask them to turn away from it. Challenge them to write down or recite everything they remember. Then, ask them to look again to see how well they did. In conclusion, ask them what else they can find. To book your group school visit please contact:Renée-Anne Paquette
